Trombone

I've been playing the trombone since 5th Grade and imprinted with "my father's music" -- swing and big band numbers from the '30s and '40s even before that. When I was an undergrad at Dartmouth College I took the opportunity to play these tunes in the Barbary Coast Jazz Orchestra with some outstanding musicians.

I put my horn aside during my dental school years and early years of practice in Hampton with only occasional classical brass ensemble performances.
In the late '80s I joined the progenitor of the New Legacy Swing Band and have never looked back. This band is a fun group to play and hang out with and its a real joy to watch our audiences of all ages lighten up, dance, or just pat their feet when we play the timeless music of the American Songbook.
